I've never written a blog before, so I'm giving it my best shot to keep it short, concise, and interesting. Reflecting on how I got here, making "Share the Blossom" a reality, has been quite an adventure. As moms, we rarely get a chance to sit down and think, but since this is work, I get to do just that. My friend Paola, an amazing small business consultant, gave me this idea, so here I am, doing it.
I've been an entrepreneur for 11 years, selling everything from sea salt, raw sugar, salsa macha, to bags (many bags) and now, jewelry. I love creating and collaborating with communities that bring more to the table than just products. I believe in doing things with passion and the conviction that our work, whatever it may be, can make us better as a society. My husband jokes that it's all very romantic, but he hopes we will see some money from it—and we will, you'll see.
Before this, I was fully invested in my co-founded company for almost seven years and loved it. I thought I could do it all until I realized that no one can. I was living my "dream job" while picking up kids from school, driving them to extracurricular activities, and trying to teach my daughter to read while answering customer emails that needed urgent attention. My go-to phrase was, "I love you, mommy is on a call," until I had a red flag moment. The most evident one was when my daughter, while playing with her dolls, pretended to be on the phone and said, "I love you, mommy is on a call."
We see it all the time on social media—videos and memes of women trying to do it all: self-care, successful careers, sex, parenting, beautiful homes, kids excelling in music and sports...ALL OF IT. So that was me, and it's exhausting. It's like juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle on a tightrope—never a dull moment!
Returning from a trade show in New York, exhausted after working three days in a row for my brand, I was flying with my then 1-year-old on a changed flight, trying to make it to my daughter's talent show. I realized, "This doesn't make me happy anymore." I wanted to find a balance between achieving my goals, making an impact while making money, and being the mom and wife I aspired to be. During that long flight, with my baby sleeping, I decided I wanted to create a brand with products that meant something, contributed to making things better, and brought me joy in creating them. So here we are, a new dream!
I know I'm not the only one juggling a thousand things and striving to achieve numerous goals. So come, dream with me, and let's share the passion for design, fashion, and the willingness to make things better, or at least easier, for those around us. Let's remember that life is truly awesome.
Building a community has been one of the best parts of this journey. Share the Blossom isn’t just a brand; it’s a movement. Our customers and affiliates are part of a larger mission to share stories, support non-profits, and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. Through our jewelry, we aim to connect people who have faced challenges and remind them that life is wonderful.
As we grow, the future is full of possibilities. My goal is to expand our reach, collaborate with more non-profits, and create even more meaningful jewelry pieces. I am excited about the journey ahead and grateful for everyone who has supported Share the Blossom so far.
If you’re passionate about making a difference and love beautiful jewelry with a cause, join our community. Together, we can create something truly special.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Here’s to sharing life’s beautiful moments, one piece of jewelry at a time.
