HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) is a nonprofit dedicated to giving Austin-area musicians access to affordable healthcare, wellness resources, and preventive services. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to strengthen the quality of life for the artists who keep Austin’s music culture alive.

For nearly twenty years, HAAM has been a lifeline for thousands of local musicians, DJs, and music teachers. Founded in 2005 by Robin Shivers, the organization has reshaped what healthcare looks like for Austin’s creative community—building a strong network of providers, partners, and supporters who believe that every musician deserves care.

To date, HAAM has delivered more than $215 million in healthcare services and programs. From enrolling their first 100 musicians in 2005 to becoming one of Austin’s most impactful nonprofits, HAAM embodies the spirit of the city: growth, creativity, and resilience.
